Online & In-person event : registration link
At a decisive moment for the EU’s agricultural and cooperation policies, join us for a high-level dialogue on embedding the right to food and peasants’ rights into future European and global food systems.
With 673 million people facing food insecurity in 2024, and peasants producing up to 80% of the world’s food while being among the most affected, the urgency to act is clear. As the EU prepares for the Multiannual Financial Framework (2028–2034) and the post-2027 CAP reform, this event creates space to discuss how these processes can advance the Right to Food and UNDROP implementation.
Organised by FIAN, Action Against Hunger, ActionAid, Humundi and the Irish Permanent Representation to the EU, this event will bring together policymakers, experts, and civil society to :
- Raise awareness on the importance of the Right to Food in EU internal and external policies.0
- Explore the CAP on how can foster food sovereignty and protect peasants’ rights.
- Align EU legislation with international human rights commitments such as UNDROP and PACE Resolution 2577.
